This year's Transfiguration account the gospel lesson confirms
yes, things change, and not in ways that are simply explained or that even remain constant. In Creator's worship experience, one moment can be filled with joy, the next awe, and in the next moment you can feel somewhat disconnected. Why? The disciples are overwhelmed when Moses and Elijah appeared with the transfigured Jesus. After being overwhelmed they look again and see only Jesus telling them not to be afraid. He is now alone but this is a pivotal moment where three men on a mountain top human hear God. There is a meeting of the temporal and the eternal, with Jesus himself as the connecting point, acting as the bridge between heaven and earth.

Today's music and the
Sharing of the Peace were moving. Writing about how it was moving does not capture the magic. This was very different from l
ast year's Transfiguration Sunday. Others may not have experienced it this way but it was certainly part of my reality. For me this would be like insisting "
Well, Moses and Elijah were here." in the face of another person asking "
So where are they now?".
The invisible can become visible in certain moments.
