Overarching Yearly Theme:
"From Bondage to Beloved Community: A Journey of Liberation and Renewal"
Inspired by the Exodus motif, this theme recognizes the real and symbolic movement from constraint to freedom, from fear to trust, from wandering to rootedness. It mirrors not only the scriptural arc but the congregation's current journey with new leadership, identity formation, and mission clarity.

Staff Transition Integration
Since the church is welcoming new staff:
-
Commissioning Services: Celebrate new staff with liturgies of blessing and anointing.
-
Music Minister Welcome: Invite the congregation to suggest favorite songs/hymns for the new music leader to learn and lead. Include “music testimonies” of songs that shaped members’ faith.
-
Secretary/Support Staff Blessing: Highlight behind-the-scenes ministry in a worship service, maybe around Reformation or All Saints.
Visual + Liturgical Continuity Tools
-
Journey Symbols: Use a visible “path” in the sanctuary (fabric, stones, footprints) to mark progress through the year.
-
Story Stones: Each season, add a symbolic stone with a word (“Hope,” “Freedom,” “Trust,” etc.) to a growing altar display.
-
Sacred Colors and Textiles: Create seasonal paraments or banners that evolve visually through the year’s stages.
